Lucas GAYbeel?

I'm sure I am not the only guy in the world who has had the sneaky suspicion that the character, Ryan from High School Musical, is gay. Well it's not really a sneaky suspicion at all, it's quite blatantly obvious, you'd have to be blind not to see it. Firstly, he has a varied assortment of hats, ranging from green, to pink, to patterned. Only a gay guy could have a wardrobe full of accessories such as hats, scarves and shoes (which he has lots of too.) Secondly, he doesn't actually seem interested in any of the girls in the movie, even though most of them are good looking. The movie would be a lot better if Ryan and Troy would just get it on. I mean, why else would Ryan not want Sharpay to be with Troy? Because Ryan fancies him! Third, I don't think there is any guy with a love of musical theatre that wasn't gay. And musical theatre is Ryan's life! He's even won awards for being in show's for christ sake, and has been the male lead for god knows how long. It's also pretty weird that he sings love songs with his sister, just saying. Now if I must go to a fourth reason, then it is the fact that he just generally appears gay in the movie, with his hand gestures, facial expressions, and his voice. For all of these reasons, I love Ryan, and give big props to the inventor of High School Musical (which is Disney, right?) for adding a gay character to the movie, but they lose points for not adding in a smooch with Ryan and another guy (preferably Troy, or Chad.) I know this is a kid's movie, but a quick kiss wouldn't go amiss. Troy and Gabriella get one, so why not Ryan?

Boy Meets Boy, Shelter, and Shank...

Boy Meets Boy.

"Boy Meets Boy" by David Levithan is a beautiful novel about a gay boy named Paul, who meets the boy of his dreams, Noah. In this simple, but lovable book, Levithan shows their growing relationship, without giving too much away too soon, leaving the reader literally shouting at the characters to get together. Other characters throughout the book include 'Infinite Darlene,' the homecoming queen AND star quarterback, 'Joni,' Paul's best friend, who seems to be drifting away, and 'Kyle,' Paul's ex.
Now, I'm only on page 93 out of 223 (chapter 11 of... quite a few, it doesn't say how many there are, and I don't want to count them), but already I feel connected to the characters, and fell in love with the novel from the moment I picked it up. Even the front cover is cute and gentle, with a baby blue background, the author's name written in lower case letters, and three candy love hearts with the words "Boy," "Meets," and "Boy," in the center.
My advice, buy the book, read the book, fall in love with the book. David Levithan is a talented writer, who keeps the reader on their toes, with lots of wit and humour, the greatest concoction (excuse the former slight pun) for any book.

Shelter

"Shelter" is a film which follows just-out-of-high-school Zach, who lives with his father, older sister, and young nephew, and Shaun, Zach's best friend's older brother, who is crashing at his brother's house while he gets over a difficult breakup, as they fall for each other. I don't want to give too much away, but I feel it is my duty to mention that the film has lots of surfing in it, and how hot are surfers? Especially when they are getting it on! "Shelter" is a must-have in your DVD collection, I've had it for about a month now, and I must have watched it beyond 15 times. Which either makes me sad, or normal. Personally, I kind of fell in love with Zach's best friend, Gabe, but unfortunately, in the film he is straight. Anyhoosers, what I'm getting at is... buy the film. You'll love it :)

Shank

I haven't watched "Shank" yet, but I have ordered it from HMV.com, so hopefully it will be here by the weekend. I saw the DVD advertised in both GT Magazine, and Attitude, and from first sight I thought it looked hot! So as soon as I got home (Okay, I'm lying... a couple of days later) I logged into HMV and ordered the DVD, and I can't wait to watch it. In a nutshell, (excuse the bad pun, again... which probably wouldn't have been noticed unless pointed out, and may not even be noticed now) the movie is about a gang who prey on innocent people, mostly homosexuals, (which is not unlike real life, just the other day a group of young chavs on bikes were throwing stones at me for being gay, I wished death upon them) and eventually pick on a French exchange student, only for Cal (a member of the group, who is a closet case) to rescue him, and begins to fall in love with him. Hot much? I think so.

Hotsy Totsy or Notsy Notsy?

It's come to my attention recently that some of my friend's do not have the same crushes as I do. And i don't mean my lesbian friends. So I want you to tell me if it's me who has bad taste, or if my friend's are just strange beings that do not deserve life :)

1) Mitch Hewer

This beautiful blonde god is one of the stars from the first two series of skins. He played Maxxie Oliver, the out-gay dancing guy of the group. If you ask me, he should have been shown much more, and had lots of gay scenes, rather than a couple of quick 2 second kisses. He also played Danny in the musical series, "Britannia High," and to be honest, that was the only reason I watched it. Even though his straight (no pun intended) blonde hair was changed for brown curl, he still looked sexy ;)

2) Lloyd Daniels

Lloyd Daniels is the sixteen year old welsh lad from... well, Wales. Although he isn't the greatest singer in the world, nor in the competition, he makes up for it with his good looks. That may sound very shallow of me, but let's face it, I'd be lying if I said I liked him purely for his singing.

3) Chad Michael Murray

Now look at me in the eyes and tell me he isn't hot. You can't do it can you? Chad Michael Murray, for those of you who don't know, plays Lucas in One Tree Hill, and has also been in movies such as "House of Wax", and "A Cinderella Story." This boy is clearly the very definition of "HOT," especially when he's on (okay, standing next to) a motorbike.

4) Cam Gigandet

What can i say about Cam? I guess I could start with... how hot is that tattoo? I think I'm right in saying that you all agree that he is smokin'. If he were bacon, he'd be burning... or something to that effect. Cam Gigandet played Kevin Volckok on "The OC," James from the movie "Twilight," and was also in the horror film, "The Unborn." Look at those heavenly abs and his gorgeous eyes. If you're not in love with him, there is something wrong with you.

5) Christoph Sanders

This handsome hunk plays the son of Delia Banks in Ghost Whisperer, Ned Banks. His character was originally played by Tyler Patrick Jones when Ned was 12 years old, but Sanders took over the role as the character got older. From the first moment I set my eyes on him, as he was sitting on the bench during a game of basketball, I instantly fell in love. The character he plays is sweet, charming, and caring towards all people, and he's sexy too.

6) Fabrizio Filippo

Fabrizio plays the romantic heart-throb, Ethan Gold, in Queer as Folk. Fab has the ability to charm anybody, so didn't have to do much to make me fall for him. In fact, all he had to do was play the violin, and I pretty much wanted to get engaged to him. He also played "Scott Hope" in the early series of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, which is great as I am a HUGE Buffy fan/geek.

7) Randy Harrison

Also from Queer as Folk is Randy Harrison, who plays cute twink, Justin Taylor. Harrison has the "boy next door" look, and is very, very sexy, with a beautiful smile. I think you should definitely buy "Queer as Folk," just so that you can see his perfectness in every single episode. Oh yeah, you get to see lots of nude scenes too! Did that persuade you?

8) Charlie David

The last person on my list (for now) is Charlie David, who plays Toby in Dantes Cove. A gay male friend of mine recently said to me, "Dantes Cove is just porn with a storyline." Which is kind of true, but with actors like David as regular characters, I find it completely acceptable. First of all, David has many, many sex scenes, including a very sexy shower scene with "Gregory Michael," and secondly... he has many, many sex scenes!

So that was my list of hotsy totsies. Write to me and tell me whether you think they're hot, or whether they're not.
